Resonance

Combining the early, camera-less techniques of photography with Cymatics (the study of visualising sound through matter) the artist was able to capture unique resonant patterns created by frequencies when played through a metal sheet using a violin bow. By designing a synthetic negative, the fibre based patterns could be transplanted onto a reproducible material, enabling the creation of replicas. Essentially the simulacra of the initial interaction between frequency and matter.
